Child's blog

Child's blog. My little girl said to me she wanted to start her very own blog because she loves to write, sing, draw, make arts and crafts and generally entertain. She has her own name for the blog etc. It would be a great way for her to earn her pocket money. I talk to her about safety on the Internet and she understands even though some of her friends have Facebook accounts and You Tube accounts it is better we do everything through Mummy! I think it is time to get a meeting with Google and an MP so children who have parents that financially struggle because of poor wages get to give their children a safe place for them to shine on the Internet for free.

Here is Little Snowflakes animation based on her story Waterfall Danger!

My daughter sang for the first time at school this year. She had a great teacher who understood that forcing her to learn at the same level as the other children caused her serious anxiety issues. Sadly I had to take her out of school when she changed teachers! It was lovely hearing the headmaster beg her to join the choir.

So where does Little Snowflake get her singing talent? Well it is not from me! Daddy has a beautiful voice and this is his radio interview with Douglas Mounce from Radio Devon.

Her art is on my side. However she is a far better artist than me!

This video of showing children how to draw Tatty Teddy has five stars. Children deserve the right to shine and I hope one day the Internet will put children first like Mothers do.

My daughter created five videos on how to make Spongebob out of a sponge. You can see all five videos on this blog. Some Mothers have been really nasty about her videos, you can hear in my daughters voice that she loves to entertain and if she didn't she would not be begging me to create her very own blog for her to shine! We will have to wait until we can get some support for a Home School secure network.

Divine Freak book review

Divine Freak book review by child artist Little Snowflake! She is now Home schooled because of bullying which sadly causes anxiety in so many children. Say no to bullying! This is my little girls song about how she proved a teacher wrong!

Here is Little Snowflakes drawing of Kitty Slade from the book Divine Freaks. She has a lot in common with Kitty Slade in that she is also Home schooled and much, much more!

Drawing of Eaton Antiques.

Drawing of Rat Man!

Little Snowflake was told the book Divine Freaks was too big a book for her and that she would not be able to read it. Well boy did she prove her wrong! Yes to start with she struggled on approx 35 words, but we wrote those words down and now today she read two pages and managed to read nearly all the words apart from three, amazing! So thank you Fiona Dunbar for writing such an interesting book, one that gets children reading even when they hated it before!

Make Spongebob craft videos

Make Spongebob craft videos. Here are all five how to make Spongebob videos out of yellow washing up sponges and craft foam by Little Snowflake. I adore her laughter and humour it just makes me smile and is something I want to share with the world. She deserves to feel good about her talent because she like so many other children has a gift. Not all parents can afford Stage School so Google gives them a place to shine. I just hope one day this place will be far away from Gremlins!

Make Little Spongebob out of a sponge

Make Little Spongebob out of a sponge. See the above tiny Spongebob well Little Snowflake made him out of a green and yellow washing up pad. She cut off the green scouring part from the back and set to work using foam for the character details. I will upload the video on how to make the big Spongebob character in the photograph sometime this week. Little Snowflake has a real eye for detail I was amazed that she did not use any templates and just cut out all the shapes and put it together herself! Just imagine what she could do as an animator! She has lots of ideas for making lots of art and craft things for children, hopefully one day she will get sponsored!

Make Squidward out of a sponge

Make Squidward out of a sponge. Washing up sponges never looked so good! Little Snowflake loves art and craft and is very good at it. This is all her own idea as she is a huge Spongebob fan. I did not get to video the whole creative process of her making Squidward but you can get the idea from her video on how to make the big Spongebob character out of yellow sponges, which I will upload this week.

Copying school work help

Copying school work is a cry for help! Home school learning, no more copying! A teachers job is very difficult and to teach a classroom of 30 children must be one huge challenge. When I was at school I copied, not because I was being naughty but because I was off school so much with asthma and suffered from dyslexia, I just did not understand the work and could not face looking stupid. Which we all know happens! All you hear is how that child is so bright, instead of lucky to have an amazing memory, which just sucks up information like a sponge. I could see the struggles my little girl had at school with what I went through. One to one tuition helps! Being shown what to do instead of being told has a much better impact on how the information is absorbed in the brain. For me personally I feel with all the Government and Council checks it puts pressures on teachers, which is then forced on our poor children. Children are not allowed a childhood any more. Homework from a very young age and it gets worse as they get older. School should be school and home time is for relaxing and enjoying your youth, as when you grow up it is nothing but stress!

Home school week 1 - Little Snowflake

Here is my report for home schooling with Little Snowflake for the very 1st week!

Home school week 2 - Little Snowflake

Home school week 2 is not up yet, but here is part of my report on what we have achieved this week so far.

Little Snowflake adored her teacher last term as he gave her back her confidence after it was knocked so badly in a previous class. When children make fun of you because you do not know the answer it is totally sole destroying, and quite frankly some teachers should know better than to pick on children that struggle. My little girl is so gifted she deserves to shine, and shine she will with Mummy's support! But I do have to thank her Head Master for telling her she has an amazing voice and getting her to join the school choir. Also for the lovely teacher that she got moved to when the other class made her so unhappy and anxious. Her last teacher really made her laugh and made school fun. So much so she had the confidence to get up in front of all the parents and sing Heal the World as a solo act.

Copying school work for most is because they are crying out for help and support. They must not be punished but instead listened to! School can sadly make some children very unhappy and worse. I know a good few people that suffer from mental health issues thanks to stresses at school and other things that have destroyed their childhood. Our kids deserve better so team up and make our world a better and happier place!

My little girl wants to write lots of stories and sell them as E books

Little Snowflake is not a great reader but she loves to write. And personally for me writing is better than reading as you have to think about the word you write or type out. I hope to have her touch typing by next year. Here is a little script Little Snowflake put together and animated using Crazy Talk with her drawings and voice! Gifted children do not get the support they deserve!

Dream big, get things done and change the world! Well I am still trying and very much hope that things change soon as us Mothers and Children deserve to be happy! Contact: Sharon J. Bird whistle paint it

Bird Whistle have you ever thought of painting one? Little Snowflake talks you through how Daddy broke hers and we had to search the Internet for a new one and luckily found one. But heck it is not the same. Don't worry Mum (Mom) to the rescue, lets paint it!

WHAT YOU NEED TO PAINT YOUR BIRD WHISTLE

1. Acrylic Paints
2. Varnish (water resistant varnish)
3. Small paint brushes of course

I ended up painting the bird whistle Daddy broke by accident. Little Snowflake shows you how she painted the other bird whistle, which I ended up finishing off so sorry there is only part of the video here I am a little camera shy. That is why I am not in a lot of my videos. Maybe I can blame that nasty boyfriend that told his mother I was not pretty. You know girls what it is like, some men just drag you down and knock all the confidence out of you. But we cannot let them win. If not for us for our little girls sake. So go make your bird whistles and whistle hard when men get on your nerves as the noise can be very annoying, but kids love it!

Moshi Monster song flower seed

Moshi Monster made up birthday song by Little Snowflake child artist. Today is Little Snowflakes friends birthday. Daddy was not able to get the Moshi Monster Flower Seed toy and came back with a Monkey. Mummy had to think quickly as not to disappoint. So I made the Moshi Monster Mask, a tutu and a button hair band. Little Snowflake also recorded a special birthday message to her friend which  is different to this original Moshi Monster Birthday song she made up on the spot!

This morning I checked my You Tube comments and someone very sweet left a kind message about Little Snowflakes made up birthday song for Monster High. They asked if they could use the song and give Little Snowflake a credit, ah how sweet, of course we said yes! There was also a kind comment from someone saying they loved her voice. It feels good to get kind feedback. I really do not understand people that go to so much effort to leave nasty comments, I mean seriously they need to get a hobby. So thanks to everyone that supports Little Snowflake as you make her smile. And lets face it when a child smiles the whole world smiles back!

Proud to be a kid

Proud to be a kid (little girl!) Little Snowflake is proud to be a kid and does not want to act older than she really is, unlike so many other  little girls. Childhood is so special I never wanted to get older and remember sitting on the swing when I was about 9 years old wishing I could stay young. I am so glad she is enjoying acting and playing like a child and not pretending like all the other little girls to be older. You go for it Little Snowflake throw those silly shoes away. Even better lets stick them on Ebay for 20p and see just how many parents try and buy them and then ask the question "WHY?" I wonder if they will take any notice of Little Snowflakes videos making fun of this trashy rubbish!

Little Snowflakes thoughts on other silly stuff that has nothing to do with being a little girl!

We have to seriously look at all the problems in our world and try very hard to make changes in our Western culture so our little girls can enjoy their childhood for the magical time it should be. I know one thing I am glad I had a real childhood. Being a grown up is hard work, ask anyone that had a real happy childhood if they would want to be a kid again and they will say "heck yes!" I am the lucky one as I am having two childhoods as Little Snowflake takes me back to being a little girl on yet another arty adventure.

Google adverts I hope are child friendly, if they are not please report to Google as this is a family blog with old fashioned values that include a Mother and a Father. Thanks!

Little Snowflake says NO to make-up

Little Snowflakes says NO to make-up and the western culture of little girls acting like grown ups! My little girl enjoys being a natural little girl. I remember when I was her age and not wanting to grow up. I am so glad she is not following the sheep at school as childhood is something so magical it needs to be boxed and kept for as long as you can. Childhood is the best time of your life so why the heck would you want to pretend you are older than you are? Seriously if little girls want to grow up so much stick an apron on them and tell them they have to do the dishes everyday three times a day for the rest of their life and I think they will soon change their mind! Being a grown up is dull and boring! I want to be a kid again, oh well thankfully Little Snowflake allows me to be a child with all the arts and crafts we do together!

Harry Hill my funny friend

Harry Hill the famous British comedian just has to smile to make us giggle. He has such a funny sense of humour I am sure he will find Little Snowflakes jokes and his Harry Hill mask fun! She is pretending to keep him hostage for her You Tube art and craft videos.

We brought the Harry Hill mask in Weymouth and our family home has just been full of laughter ever since. Little Snowflake has made him into a mannequin and he lives in our kitchen. Dad (Little Snowflakes Dad) comes down stairs and Ah.... not expecting to see another man (mannequin) in the house. Little Snowflake went outside and ah.... forgot she had made Harry into a mannequin.

Oh my gosh I have tears falling down my face I just asked Little Snowflakes friend if she has shown her Harry Hill and she said "I went into the kitchen and went ah......" It is a bit like seeing a ghost that you are not expecting to see! After all that funny happy smile is hardly frightening!
